When the Zudekha Civilization fell, powerful mana spread all over the world and contaminated plants and animals alike with its evil power, turning them into monsters. The Urbas, one of the mana's victims, are rumored to have blood that's very similar to humans. I can't help but wonder why the Urbas turned into monsters, but we humans were unaffected.
